The brief

Located in one of East Ivanhoe’s best precincts with sweeping views to the golf course, parks, and the city. Our brief was to design a luxury home with an open plan family living area, clean lines and a minimalist design aesthetic that was all about capturing the amazing views. The client also wanted a home that was comfortable for their lifestyle and be able to transition with them as their family changes throughout the years.

Our approach

This four-level project is all about the views and the pool. On the first floor is a large garage and storage which links all four levels via a lift. The voided entry opens up to the second level where there is an open plan living area with full-height glazing looking out to the suspended infinity edge pool. On the same level is a large kitchen, dining, living, and study.

The third level contains the children’s living areas, and the top level has a master suite with a bedroom and private living room. The outdoor entertainment area is truly spectacular with a bar and barbecue and dining area, and of course the pool. While this house is a showpiece, from the street level it’s private and not readily visible. This project was all about creating a quiet oasis for our clients, a place they can call home and retreat to every day.
