The brief

This project involves the renovation and extension of an existing single‑storey residence, with the brief focused on improving internal functionality while respecting the character of the original home. The clients sought to retain and complement existing architectural elements, including stone cladding and timber detailing, while reconfiguring spaces to better support entertaining and everyday living. Maximising natural light and strengthening connections to the rear garden were key priorities.

Our approach

Working within the existing building envelope, the design re‑organises internal spaces to create a more open and connected living environment. Extensions are carefully integrated to enhance light and outlook without overwhelming the original form. A restrained material strategy allows new interventions to sit comfortably alongside existing features, resulting in a cohesive home that balances familiarity with contemporary comfort and improved functionality.
