The brief
Set within a coastal Rosebud context, the brief called for a light‑filled family home that balances relaxed Hamptons style with strong functional planning. Capturing bay views was central to the design, however these views were confined to specific sightlines and height limits. The clients sought a home that feels open and elegant yet practical, with generous living spaces, strong indoor–outdoor connection and a clear focus on outlook, shelter and ease of living.
Our approach
The design is conceived as a single‑level home, elevated strategically to align with the narrow view windows available on the site. An elevated deck becomes a key architectural element — carefully positioned to capture the bay outlook while providing shelter from prevailing coastal winds. Internally, the plan is arranged to maximise natural light and flow, with living spaces oriented toward the view and outdoor zones. A refined Hamptons material palette reinforces the coastal character, balancing softness and durability to create a home that feels both relaxed and resolved.
