The brief

Our project brief for this family of 5 was to design a home of understated traditional elegance that is light, bright and airy and has a high focus on allergy and asthma friendly building materials. The challenge lay with facilitating everything the client wanted within the constraints of this narrow block site at only 9.9m wide.

Our approach

Careful material consideration makes this Hampton’s style residence really shine. The clients love of heritage style but severe allergen restrictions meant that they needed a new home with period replica fittings and details.
The palette of white, blue and dark timber is true to style and wainscoting details on cabinetry bring a touch of elegance throughout. Luminous stone, porcelain and glass gives diffuse reflective surfaces to enhance the play of light in this narrow home.
